Patrick Patterson is an award winning photographer based in Madison, WI. Patterson, a Texas native who is known for rocking his colorful cowboy boots mentored under world renowned photographer Keith Carter. While working with Carter, Patterson focused his attention on Civil Rights and the stories of ordinary people. Patterson’s work has taken him to the heart of the Texas prison system, where he has documented the conditions and inmates on death row. His light box has shed light on modern day racial tensions in the deep south and the Midwest. His ability to tell stories through imagery has led to a success in documenting weddings and childbirths.
