Equipment is something to consider when you hire a pro. In my experience I have seen first hand many photographers using sub-standard equipment–entry level Nikon or Canon cameras without backup gear. If you’re getting married in a church–any church–your photographer needs to use “fast lenses (high-end)” during the ceremony; without them, one of two scenarios will play out: The priest forbids use of a flash and the photographer either disregards their wishes (which results in terrible images) or no flash is used and the photos will be grainy and (or) out of focus.
